This week I read about wikis. I thought that it was very interesting and saw where it could play a part in the classroom. Many of the examples in the book by Will Richardson were for older classrooms. I am wondering if there are any wikis for kindergarten or if anyone has any ideas of how wikis could be used in kindergarten.

  1. I think that it would be hard to use wikis in a kindergarten setting. I think that younger students would have difficulty with this. You would really have to model how to use one and do a whole class wiki. I would love to see if anyone has any suggestions for the younger grades. I am up for any suggestions!

  2. I would be hard pressed to use Wikis in Kindergarten. These children are struggling just to read and write. Wikis may or may not be totally correct to begin with. Even if you model a Wiki in class, you'll probably run into a vocabulary issue.
